  for anything other than to listen\, to ask questions if you need somethin
 g clarified\, and to be respectful of others.\n\nWho am I?\n\nMy name is C
 ezary. Over the past 2 decades I learned how money works in Canada and how
  to invest it. I have now reached my financial goals and am sharing what I
  have learned to help others get started.\n\nWho is this for?\n\nYou are r
 eady to start learning about banking and investing\, but feel overwhelmed 
 at all the information out there and are looking to understand the foundat
 ional basics first.\n\nWhat will we cover?\n\nWe will cover the structure 
 of the Canadian banking system (not deep\, just enough to help with everyt
 hing else) and dive into the following:\n\n• Account types (CHQ / SAV\, 
 RRSP\, TFSA\, FHSA\, RESP\, etc)\n• Different holdings (cash\, good / ba
 d debt\, GIC\, HYSA\, Mutual Funds\, ETFs\, Stocks / Bonds)\n• How the a
 bove relate to each other and which to use first to reach your goals\n• 
 Investment methods and risk tolerance\n• Tax advantages and strategies\n
 • Common ways to invest (Managed investing vs Self-directed vs Robo-inve
 sting)\n• Examples of how to get started at a major bank or brokerage\n
 • Additional resources you can use to continue your learning journey\n\n
 The session is designed to take ~30 minutes\, but I encourage questions du
 ring the presentation so expect us to take 45 - 60 minutes to cover everyt
 hing. If you have questions on any topic too advanced for this beginner se
 ssion\, I’m happy to answer them after the session.\n\nWhat should you b
 ring / prepare?\n\n• Pen and paper - You will create one chart and take 
 notes as needed\n• Questions you’d like answered - I’m happy to answ

 nRSVP policy\n\nThese sessions work best with a small group and have a cap
