 Good. Let's not pretend otherwise. But Macbeth is one of the plays where t
 he engine is still brutally easy to feel: ambition\, prophecy\, guilt\, ma
 rriage\, fear\, murder\, and the particular madness of someone starting to
  believe power is not just possible\, but owed to them. We're going to see
  Macbeth at Bard on the Beach\, on the BMO Mainstage\, in Vanier Park. Thi
 s is not a lecture night. Not a "prove you understand Shakespeare" night. 
 Not everyone standing around acting like the language was effortless. It's
  a public theatre outing: arrive early\, find each other\, take in Bard Vi
 llage\, watch the show\, and maybe talk a little after about what actually
  hit. A summer Shakespeare night should feel alive. This one has blood in 
 it.\n\nA few things already sitting in my head\n\n• "When does ambition 
 stop being admirable and start becoming grotesque?"\n• "Do the witches c
 reate Macbeth's downfall\, or just give him permission?"\n• "Is Macbeth 
 weak\, ambitious\, cursed\, or too persuadable by the darkest part of hims
 elf?"\n• "Is Lady Macbeth stronger than him\, or just faster to collapse
 ?"\n• "What does guilt do to reality in this play?"\n• "Does live thea
 tre make Shakespeare easier to feel than reading it alone?"\n\nHow the eve
 ning will go\n\nWe'll meet outside the Bard on the Beach Box Office / main
  entrance at 6:15 PM. Bard Village opens at 6:30 PM\, so this gives us tim
 e to find each other\, settle in\, and not do the classic Vancouver thing 
 where everyone arrives at the exact last possible second and looks mildly 
 betrayed by logistics. The show starts at 7:30 PM. Runtime is about 2 hour
 s 15 minutes\, including a 20-minute intermission. After the show\, whoeve
 r wants can stick around for a quick group photo or a short walk / drink /
  snack nearby if the group has energy.\n\nTickets\n\nEveryone buys their o
