SUMMARY:🧙‍♂️⚔️ The Two Towers - can fellowship survive separat
 ion?
DESCRIPTION:Movie discussion - watch beforehand. No screening.\n\nShort sum
mary\n\nThe first movie builds the Fellowship. The Two Towers asks what ha
ppens after it breaks. Everyone is scattered now. Frodo and Sam are carryi
ng the burden into darker territory. Aragorn\, Legolas\, and Gimli are pul
led toward war. Merry and Pippin become more than comic relief. Rohan is c
ollapsing under fear\, grief\, age\, and bad counsel. And Gollum enters th
e story properly\, which changes everything. This is the film where the ad
venture becomes harder to romanticize. The group is no longer together. Th
e mission no longer feels clean. Loyalty starts happening at a distance\,
under pressure\, without the comfort of everyone moving in the same direct
ion. That’s why this one deserves a room. Not trivia. Not lore-flexing.
Not everyone quoting the obvious lines and calling it a discussion. A real
conversation about fellowship after separation\, leadership under despair
\, corrupted desire\, courage without certainty\, and whether people can s
till belong to each other when the road splits. This is the film companion
to the July 25 reading\, but you do not need to have attended that readin
 g. Just watch the movie beforehand.\n\nA few questions already sitting in
my head\n\n• “Can a fellowship survive once everyone is forced onto di
fferent roads?”\n• “Who carries the heaviest burden in this film: Fr
 odo\, Sam\, Aragorn\, Théoden\, Éowyn\, or Gollum?”\n• “Does Frodo
become wiser in this movie\, or just more isolated?”\n• “Is Gollum
 pitiable\, dangerous\, funny\, tragic\, or all of those at once?”\n•
“What does Sam understand about loyalty that the more heroic characters
sometimes miss?”\n• “Is Aragorn a natural king here\, or someone sti
ll trying to grow into the idea?”\n• “Why does Rohan feel so emotion
ally different from the world of the first film?”\n• “Does the film
make war feel noble\, horrifying\, necessary\, or too beautiful for its ow
n good?”\n\nHow the afternoon will go\n\nWe’ll start with one question
: “What part of this movie feels heavier than you remembered?” Then we
’ll stay close to the film: Frodo and Sam\, Gollum\, Rohan\, Aragorn\, H
elm’s Deep\, Merry and Pippin\, the Ents\, and the way the story keeps a
sking what loyalty looks like when people are no longer side by side. Full
spoilers are expected. Come having watched the movie recently enough to t
alk about the film itself\, not just your memory of loving it. No lore-fle
xing. No book-versus-movie derailment for the whole room. No fantasy trivi
 a contest. A real discussion.\n\nWhen and where\n\n🗓️ Date: Sunday\,
 August 30th\, 2026 🕒 Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM 📍 Location: Vancouver C

ng your RSVP accurate helps limited seats go to people who can actually at
